RECOMMENDATIONS

  • The visa is a mandatory document to enter the country.
  • Avoid contact with rodents that can transmit Lassa fever, because there is no vaccine against the disease.
  • Due to the insurgent group Boko Haram, it is recommended not to travel to the north of the country, to avoid agglomerations or places of wide concurrence.
  • It is recommended, as with any country, to purchase a life insurance with international coverage.
  • Do not leave the tourist circuits and use only authorized guides.
  • Keep your consular protection telephone number handy.
  • Since half of the population is Muslim, you must be very careful to and avoid any incident that could be interpreted as a lack of respect for that faith.
  • Bring insect repellent and mosquito net.
